Agora
Agora literally means a bazaar or a meeting area surrounded by arcades. While witnessing important events such as elections and trials, agora posed as a centre where art ripened and philosophy was born; circled with stoas, monuments, altars and sculptures as well as many significant public buildings.
Kizlaragasi Khan
Built in 1744 by Hacı Beşir Ağa, Kızlarağası Khan is one of the very important historical buildings of Izmir.  It was constructed near the sea (today 200 meter away from sea) an frequented as a big commercial center of its time. Architectural plan of this khan is unique in Ottoman Empire.
Kemeraltı
Ancient Kemeraltı Bazaar is the place of loosing itself in the crowd and the richness of the city. The bazaar hits you with its feeling of rhythm, distilled by the centuries and its liveliness. At the end of the day, you might think that you have discovered the whole bazaar, but attention, this may change when you turn to a little street and your trip start over!
Basmane Railway Station
The Quarter Of Historical Hotels
Old Hotels Street is not very far away the Basmane Railway Station. At the beginning of the 19th century, there were too many houses on this street. But being near to Kemeraltı, Izmir fair and with the augmentation of accommodation need, these houses are transformed to little hotels. Since then, this neighborhood is called Hotels Street.
Kadifekale ( Pagos )
Kadifekale (Pagos) is the name of the castle situated on top of the 186 meters height hill. It gives you an amazing general view of the city and the Golf of Izmir. You can see the changing city by visiting Kadifekale regularly.
The City Museum and Archive
The Museum and Archives of Izmir has born as a big wish and project of deceased Mayor of Izmir, Ahmet Piriştina. He has chosen the ancient Fire Department Center building (built in 1932) and started the project in 2000.
National Library
Built with a Neo- classic architectural style, this building is used as a National Library since 1933.
Mercantile Exchange Building
Built in 1928 by the famous architect of that period, also architect of National Library and İzmir Theatre, Mr. Tahsin Sermet Bey. Renovated recently, this building occupied since then as the İzmir Mercantile Exchange Building.
Vakıflar Bankası Building
Built in 1931 by architect Kemal Bey, this building is one of the buildings of First National Architectural Period and contains Art deco style.
Ancient Ottoman Banc Building
Built in 1926 by architect G. Mongeri, this building is a First National Architectural Period.
Konak Pier
Hisar Mosque
Built in 1597 by Aydınoğlu (Molla) Yakup Bey, Hisaronu Mosque is one of the historical and touristy monuments of İzmir. Near the Kızlaragasi Khan and Kemeraltı Bazaar, it is the biggest this mosque of Izmir. Renovated in 1813, 1881, 1927 and 1980 and also decorated with 18th and 19 century styles. You can see European art effects on the minbar and preaching area.
Başdurak Mosque
It is located on Anafartalar Street in Kemeraltı Bazaar. İt was built by Hacı Hüseyin Ağa in 1774. The minaret was restored in 1880. There are 12 stairs leading the mosque located on a hewn stone pedestal.
Şadırvanaltı
  The mosque is built in 1636 and was restored in 1815. Located in Kemeraltı Bazaar, the mosque has an eight columned fountain. A big arcade is constructed on the ground floor. That is way you can find two entries with stairs. It was built by hewn stones. The dome was embroidered by engravings. The pulpit is of marble.
Asansor ( Historical Elevator )
Asansör “Elevator” and Dario Moreno Street are the places to see of Karataş area, one kilometer southwest of Konak. Elevator is constructed in 1907 by the Jewish businessman Nesim Levi, to facilitate people to climb the higher part of the area, which is 155 steps above.
Beth Israel Synagogue
This synagogue, which is the biggest one in Izmir, is about 1 kilometer far from Konak Square and constructed by Izmir Prefecture Kamil Pasha, with the permission of Sultan Abdülhamit II.
St. Polycarpe Church
The Saint Polycarp Church is the oldest church in Izmir and symblozes the Seven Churches of the Apocalypse. Saint Polycarp was martyred at age 86 in A.D. 155 at Kadifkale by the Romans.

  The Church of St. Mary Magdalene was built about 1858 by Charlton Whittal, a prominent member of Smyrna's Levant Company, as a memorial for his beloved wife.
Buca Mevlana
Known as the symbol of the love, peace and the high tolerance, Mevlana’s (Rumi) monument is on the top of Buca district. The 24 meters height monument is the third biggest monument in the world. It is 73 meters height from ground and 160 meters height from the sea level.
Buca Hasanağa Bahçesi
  Since the history, Buca is known with its houses with big gardens and yards…  The Levantines lived there for a long time and gave Buca quite their style. Today’s Buca district has still kept some of those houses and its countryside way.
Virgin's House ( Selçuk )
The House of the Virgin is believed to be the last residence of the Virgin Mary, , located in a nature park between Ephesus and Selçuk.
