Places
Kadifekale ( Pagos )
Kadifekale (Pagos) is the name of the castle situated on top of the 186 meters height hill. It gives you an amazing general view of the city and the Golf of Izmir. You can see the changing city by visiting Kadifekale regularly.
Buca Mevlana
Known as the symbol of the love, peace and the high tolerance, Mevlana’s (Rumi) monument is on the top of Buca district. The 24 meters height monument is the third biggest monument in the world. It is 73 meters height from ground and 160 meters height from the sea level.
Buca Hasanağa Bahçesi
Since the history, Buca is known with its houses with big gardens and yards… The Levantines lived there for a long time and gave Buca quite their style. Today’s Buca district has still kept some of those houses and its countryside way.
Inciraltı
İnciraltı is one great seaside recreational area of Izmir. You can walk along the sea, have some shopping at the mall, and have fun with your children at the funfair.
Fuar ( Kültürpark )
Kültürpark, united with İzmir Fair, is an important component of the city identity. In addition to its various advantages as a fairground, it is an ideal platform where people from different walks of life can enjoy their time.
Balçova Hotel and ( Agamemnon ) Hot Springs
This place has taken its name from Agamemnon, the King of Mykene, and the commander of Troy war B.C. 1200. At the end of the war, these hot waters cured injured soldiers and it become a healing area since then. Baths, healing rooms, water and mud ponds are constructed on this area through the years.
Buca Gölet
One of the most popular picnic area Buca Gölet Social Facilities are constructed on a 30.000m2 surface and includes an artificial lake.
